Moldex3D Optics provides an analysis for optical components, including birefringence, retardation and polarization. Integrated with CODE V, Moldex3D Optics also enables users to simulate non-uniform refractive index more precisely for high-quality lens production.Injection-molded optical parts, widely used in 3D applications, have become smaller and lighter. The flow-induced anisotropy would be severer in smaller filling space; as a result, key optical issues, such as birefringence, retardation or polarization, would be a bottleneck in manufacturing injection-molded optical components. Based on the three-dimensional filling analysis and the viscoelastic analysis, Moldex3D Optics precisely predicts birefringence performance for flow-induced and thermally-induced parts. It helps users optimize processing factors, such as the part geometry, runner design, gate design, or filling speed, to affect important optical properties.
Integrated with CODE V, Moldex3D Optics brings advanced optical solutions that help users analyze the manufacturing feasibility of part designs. It also allows exporting the deformed shape and refractive distributions into CODE V for part verification and optimization. This feature gives users the power to overcome the difficulties between ideal product designs and real production.
